Welcome to the Far Northwest!
The Far Northwest Coalition represents homeowners, civic associations, and citizens of the far northwest neighborhoods of Columbus, seeking cooperative efforts between residents and the various governmental entities within and nearby its boundaries. The FNWC Board reviews zoning, development and re-development proposals from the City of Columbus and seeks adequate green space, parkland and recreational activities and a greater sense of community and quality of life for its residents.
The FNWC reviews applications for properties in Columbus from Sawmill Road to the Olentangy River and from the Franklin County line down to State Route 161.
Update on Applications CV19-021 and Z19-023 at 6181 Thompson Street
The Columbus Department of Development has not scheduled hearings for applications CV19-021 and Z19-023 for 6181 Thompson Street, heard at the FNWC Board meeting in May 2019. FNWC Board members joined Columbus and Perry Township residents as they met with City Council staff and the applicant in December 2020 to discuss concerns and suggested revisions to the application, and the FNWC received an updated site plan from the applicant for review in May 2020. Click here to view the updated site plan.
The FNWC will provide updates upon hearings being scheduled and will continue to support and represent our residents and neighbors.
